  • Developed strategic alliance with Prudential Financial, Inc. for the development of Global Select Asset Management platform.

  • MAM was ranked as the #1 Stock Seat in terms of volume in the Panamanian Stock Exchange, and was one of the top 5 broker dealers forseveral consecutive years.

  • Treasury Business Head. Responsible for a substantial portion of the bank`s total revenues.

  • Oversee team of Treasury Marketing units and traders.

  • Ensure adequate balance sheet management by monitoring and controlling price and liquidity risks.

  • Coordinate and lead monthly ALCO meetings.

  • Worked with other Direct Reports and CEO in all matters involving strategic decisions.

  • Collaborate closely with Corporate Finance Head in order to jointly identify and source deals.

  • Awarded the ‘’Elephant Deal Award’’ in 2003 for a transaction that generated more than US$15MM for the bank. This Award is at the Latin American Division Level and had never been awarded to an executive in Panama.

  • Responsible of funding and gapping (liquidity) of the bank’s balance sheet as well as monitoring and determining the bank´s cost of funds in the market.

  • Responsible for management of the bank’s held for sale portfolio, as well as investment banking activity with more than twenty institutional customers.

  • Provide institutional customers with derivatives products related to interest rates, hard currencies, and commodities. This involved close contact and coordination with the NY derivatives trading desk.

  • Active involvement in all Corporate Finance transactions involving Capital Market Products.

  • General Manager of the bank’s stock exchange seat (Citivalores, S.A,) and liaison to the private banking area of the bank.

  • Represent Citibank as member of the investment committee of Pro- Futuro.S.A. the largest private pension fund in Panama of which Citibank was part owner.

  • Local contact for Citigroup Asset management Products (institutional).

  • Monitoring risk limits for the accrual portfolio as well as trading portfolio

  • Development of innovative treasury products and cross-selling initiatives with other areas of the bank.
